Frequently Given Answers
What is Photo Editing and
Effects?
In photo editing and effects, you take a normal picture, whether
taken at home or by a professional, and alter it using a variety
of computer programs. Effects generally refers to adding things
like 'glows' and 'lighting' as well as wings or other additions.
Editing means you've altered what is already there: adjusting the
shadow and light levels, altering the color balance, getting rid
of red eyes, contrast and brightness, or getting rid of blemishes
and unwanted objects.

How long have you been editing
photos?
I have been using Photoshop to edit photos for about 10 years
now. I started my education at City College of San Francisco and
have continued to expand my knowledge by taking classes and just
playing with the program on my own. I’ve started offering
this service to the public only recently.

How much does photo editing and
embellishment cost?
Good question! As each piece is customized to a person’s
desires the amount of time put into it varies. As a result the
price will vary. However all photos start off at $20.00. Look at
the
pricing page to get a better idea
of the pricing involved.

How long does it
take?
Generally you will get your first sample within a day or two of
sending me your pictures. If you need it sooner than that it can
be arranged, though there may be a slight increase in
price.

Do I have to buy prints from
you?
No. With buying one of my pieces you buy the right to print for
PERSONAL PURPOSES from anywhere else. You may not print with the
intention of selling a piece, however, without my
permission.

How do I place an
order?< br/>
First you will select three to four pictures that you really
like. Preferably they will be full body shots or at least upper
torso and head with decent resolution. These you will email to me
in an attachment, or if you do not have them on your computer you
can send them to me with a self-addressed stamped envelope. I
will then scan it in. I will also let you know which picture I
will be using and give you an idea of what I am going to do with
it. If you like the idea let me know and I’ll get
started.
< br/>
Using Cell Phone pictures for photo embellishment is a bad
idea. If you insist on them, I might be able to get
something that will print out okay in wallet size but not
bigger.
< br/>
After I complete the piece I will send you a
‘sampled’ image for you to approve or not. If you
want something changed simply let me know what it is and I will
do so till you are satisfied. Do keep in mind that the price goes
up with how much time I spend on a piece and I try to make sure
before I start of some specifics like color scheme or theme.
< br/>
When the piece is finished and you approve of it you will send
me payment. Once payment is confirmed I will email you the master
digital copy in 8x10, 5x7 and 4x6 format. I’ve found having
them in these three separate sizes causes less cut-off at places
like Wal-Mart or Walgreens. If you have ordered prints through me
I will have you send me your mailing address and how many of each
print you want. This will of course be included in the final
price you pay.
